We’re a group of dedicated craftsmen who have built a business to enhance your community.

Originally from Rock Hill, SC, Founder Aaron Hood started his career as a home builder assistant while still in high school. In college he continued to learn and grow his skills as he built homes for an established home builder.
After college, Aaron started managing multiple home sites, eventually building hundreds of homes during his career.

Aaron always had aspirations to own his own construction business. In 2017, AM Hood Construction was formed. AM Hood Construction focused on remodels, additions and exterior enhancements. Those years allowed him to recognize the Upstate's needs for millwork that was not only affordable but efficiently produced, delivered and installed on-time.

That need led to the founding of Carolina Columns in 2019 under AM Hood Construction. Aaron joined these two companies, making them the only turn-key custom millwork and professional installation services in South Carolina.

Located in Fountain Inn, SC, Carolina Columns provides a wide spectrum of millwork from cornices and shutters to columns, trellises and more. Home owners and builders can choose from stock options or can customize orders based off of specific home and/or build site needs.

Consult
Every home project or build, large or small, starts with an idea. We meet with you to see your vision, collaborate and determine the best path forward on how to help you achieve the end result you expect.
Design
After your consultation, our in-house designer develops the perfect millwork pieces for your home or build site. 

Even if you’re in the early stages of building, we will take your current home drawings and design your millwork.
Millwork
Once your design is complete our production team uses the latest technology to mill your custom pieces.

You can even choose to install your millwork yourself or choose our turn-key install solution.
Install
Our team will deliver and install your custom or stock order, seeing your vision complete on-site.

The option of customer installation is also available.

The Carolina Grand features a top trim molding and 4 sided panel with a 6" top surround and 8" base.

Stock columns come in a variety of outside dimensions: 6", 8", 10", and 12" with your choice of 9' or 10' height.
